Head of School Announcement

The Governing Board of the Academy for Classical Education conducted an exhaustive search for a new Head of School. As with any change, the ACE family approaches this transition with both a sense of nostalgia and anticipation.   In bidding farewell to Mrs. Perkins, we express our deepest gratitude for her service, leadership, and inspiration. Her unwavering dedication and passion have left an indelible mark on our school community, and without her ACE would not exist.  Her legacy will endure as our scholars continue to thrive and succeed for years to come.

We are convinced that the best path forward is to provide continuity and fidelity to the classical model.  Therefore, it is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that the Governing Board announces the appointment of our new Head of School, Lara Relyea.  Ms. Relya is no stranger to the ACE community.  She has been an educator for 28 years, and she has served in many roles since the founding of the school.  She is the current Director of Compliance and has been integral to the success of ACE.  Given her vast experience with our scholars, faculty, and staff and her personal commitment to excellence, we are assured that under her leadership ACE will continue to be the place where teachers can teach, and students will learn.

As we welcome Ms. Relyea to her new role, we ask that you join the Governing Board in supporting her with a fervent commitment to the success of ACE. Together, let us embrace this opportunity to collaborate, innovate, and build upon the strong foundation that has been established.
